The Beacon Chain (BC) is a special blockchain in JaxNet. In contrast to shard chains, Beacon Chain carries special functions and supposed to be maintained by all miners in JaxNetwork.

Parameters of the chain

The block difficulty on the beacon chain is adjusted every 2048 blocks according to difficulty adjustment algorithm to keep average block time around 10 minutes.
